Every day, I learn more about how to align with my body and mind to gain a feeling of calming trust for the universe. In the process, it feels like I’m exposed to images and struck with ideas from some magical place. It’s like there are mystical fairies helping me by handing me these flashes of urgency to mark down on paper. Giving myself those bursts of shiny energy post-image manifests as slow hours of ebb and flow. There's movement from paint to charcoal to distraction and curiosity.
The dead days between these illusive ideas and invigoration become heavy and sticky. My mind separates from my body and surroundings. It's never-ending. Still, there’s valuable information for the fairies (and myself) to learn from for the next message.
Art is now an attunement of my mind, body, and what they’re trying to tell me after years of dishonor. Everything is a new beginning. It’s exciting, it’s scary, and I don’t know what I’m doing, but I’ll trust that the little idea fairies will return again.
